Muli Bwanji Zambia!
Our vision to exponentially increase the rate and scope of businesses in Africa is gradually being realised following our most recent entry into Zambia. This year, we recruited 8 innovative and impact-driven ventures in Zambia that are currently going through our first Acceleration Programme in the country. These ventures cut across online buying services, clean energy, farming, delivery services, micro-finance and sports. We selected the entrepreneurs and their ventures based on their potential to scale, degree of innovation, the strength and ambition of the founders and their teams, and their potential to solve key challenges through innovative products or services.
Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, GrowthAfrica is a leading African business and impact accelerator. It has since its inception worked with more than 2,000 small East African businesses, accelerated more than 128 regional ventures and supported more than 120 international companies coming into East Africa. We are the business runway to success for African entrepreneurs seeking a platform for their business take-off and for international companies in need of a market landing space and growth hub. Our desire and mission is to proactively contribute to the social and economic growth of African economies through strengthening of local enterprises.
Our activities are focused on growing ambitious and scalable African startups and SMEs into successful enterprises through business acceleration, strategic advice and access to investments. We also assist local and international businesses to effectively seize African market and business opportunities through market data and insights, expert network and the right local partners. Ours is a love story to Africa and its vast opportunities.
Having recently moved into Zambia, we are impressed with the reception that we have received and we are confident that our programme will cause great impact not only on the entrepreneurs involved but to the entire entrepreneurship ecosystem in Zambia. We are proud to introduce to you our first 8 Zambian ventures:
