We have brought onboard five high achievers, who embody the spirit of entrepreneurship and will support in delivering our services effectively to our stakeholders.

Manasseh Miruka

Manasseh joins GrowthAfrica as Team Lead for the implementation of the “International Acceleration Process” project under the Kenya Industry and Entrepreneurship Project (KIEP).. He has a grounding of 12 years consulting with global organisations such as UNDP Kenya (“Women in Business Programme”), Euromonitor International, Mott Macdonald, as well as Wadhwani Foundation. He has impacted the lives of students, SMEs, Entrepreneurship educators and institutions of higher learning across 10 African countries.

 

Edna Chepngeno

Edna joins GrowthAfrica as Business Linkages Specialist.. She brings 10 years of experience working with entrepreneurship projects across East Africa enabling businesses to operate efficiently and profitably. Edna is passionate about entrepreneurship development, growth, sustainability and good governance as a driver to economic growth in Africa. She has extensive experience in the entrepreneurship development sector in enterprise development and growth, mentorship, partnership development and stakeholder engagement among others having worked on funded entrepreneurship projects across East Africa geared towards enabling businesses to operate efficiently and profitability.

Before joining GrowthAfrica, she consulted independently for 3 years coaching entrepreneurs and previously she worked with Enablis East Africa in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam for 7 years.

 

Rohin Onyango

Rohin joins GrowthAfrica as Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Specialist. He brings more than 6 years’ experience in international development, working in Eastern Africa (Kenya, Somalia, Uganda and Tanzania). He has conducted monitoring and evaluation, quantitative and qualitative (mixed methods research), strategic planning on programmes focused on economic growth, democracy and governance, social Service (education and health), peace and security, human and institutional capacity development sub-Sectors.

Rohin has worked in projects and programmes funded by international funders such as Business Enablers, USAID East Africa, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Robert Carr Fund for civil society Networks and the German Development Corporation (GIZ).

 

Martin Kiilu

Martin joins GrowthAfrica as International Resources Specialist working with implementing projects under the Advisory portfolio and offering skill towards investment readiness to entrepreneurs in the current six regions. He has more than 7 years’ experience working with impact enterprises across Sub Saharan Africa and India, both as an advisor and investment advisor.

Before joining GrowthAfrica, he founded Seed to Growth (S2G) Advisors an SME advisory firm providing strategic, operational, and fundraising support to SMEs and portfolio management and consulting services to investors across Sub-Saharan Africa.  Martin has supported multiple startups by consulting on strategy, financial planning, modelling, valuation, and capital raising. He was instrumental in founding and leading a network of 200+ investors made up of individuals, funds, and family offices investing across East Africa. He has also been a trainer, facilitator, mentor, judge, speaker, and panellist at various early-stage investing events across sub-Saharan Africa.

 

Rachael Kirui 

Rachael joins GrowthAfrica as the Digital Media Assistant, supporting in the planning, implementing and execution of digital media projects. She brings experience working as a marketing intern for Sanofi Pasteur, East Africa region, where she led the business unit’s first digital project across Kenya. She supported the management of national media campaigns and strategic marketing projects for Sanofi Pasteur in the Sub-Saharan region.

As an AIESEC Global Volunteer, Rachael worked in various projects and initiatives across the Middle East and Africa including a Youth Entrepreneurship project in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and the AIESEC Middle East and Africa leadership and cultural exchange initiative in Luxor, Egypt.

Rachael is a Global Goals Advocate and has played a role in the education of twelve thousand youth on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals at the Youthful Festival held in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the patronage of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
