The Novo Nordisk Foundation provides the long-term philanthropic and strategic foundation behind TechBBQ’s Nordic-Africa and Nordic-India innovation corridors. Three-year roadmap: 2026–2028
2026: The Summit will formalise the Nordic-Africa platform at TechBBQ. It will bring together founders, investors, universities, corporates, foundations, and policymakers around priority sectors, collaboration, and matchmaking.
2027: The focus will shift from visibility to execution. Activities will include repeat delegations, investor-founder pipelines, market access visits, and a shortlist of pilot partnerships across health, diagnostics, agri-tech, climate, AI, and deep tech.
2028: The ambition is to establish the Nordic-Africa innovation corridor as permanent infrastructure. The goal is a trusted annual platform supported by year-round engagement, measurable investment and partnership outcomes, and a stronger African presence within Nordic innovation networks.
A call to build the next chapter together
