GrowthAfrica’s September 2019 round up

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT MASTERCLASS

On Thursday the 12th of September GrowthAfrica had its Human Resource Management Masterclass where we had the talented Paul Kasimu, the current Chief Human Resources Officer at Safaricom PLC speaking at the event. The masterfully curated Masterclass covered a wide range of Human Resource functions that entrepreneurs face every day while running their businesses. Our speaker made a point to emphasize the importance of properly rewarding and reprimanding staff based on how they perform.

Some pieces of business advice given in the Masterclass include:

  • Execution of tasks should be on time and in full.
  • Review your team on their performance, not their activities.
  • Never negotiate integrity, values are the core of your business.
  • You need to be passionate about what you do.
