Brian Sing’ora: Ecosystem veteran appointed new head of advisory services

GrowthAfrica continues to strengthen its advisory capacity and resources in support of entrepreneurs and the organisations supporting and funding the growth of early stage businesses. We are happy to share that Brian Sing’ora is joining our team for us to enhance and develop our offering further.

Brian is a strong believer in and has through his career been working towards a new and transformed Africa through entrepreneurship, private sector development and international trade . He has continually focused his work on capacity building and development, access to networks, markets, finance, organisation building, and leadership towards scalable initiatives.

“I have learnt and come to appreciate that the maturity of trees is known not by seeing how tall they are or how magnificent their crown, but by how many growth rings they have.”

Over the years, Brian has gained professional rings and brings to the team a wealth of knowledge across technology, consumer packaged goods, banking and financial services, private sector development, international trade and development, research, training, professional services, and management advisory, and being a founder and entrepreneur.

Working in these industries exposed him to high-value corporate strategy and execution engagements, leadership and talent development, organisation design and structuring, fundraising, transaction advisory and financial management, and innovation.

As a Pan-African, he has gained experience working across Africa covering Kenya, Mozambique, Rwanda, Côte d’Ivoire, and South Africa.

Brian has found joy and accomplishment in serving and developing ecosystems for small and growing businesses and agricultural cooperatives, supporting multinational donor organisations with his research published in international journals such as CGSpace on bit.ly/BrianSingora_CGSpace   and Frontiers in Sustainable Food Systems on bit.ly/BrianSingora_SustainableFoodSystems.

Brian brings a wealth of experience, insights and ideas that will be very valuable in the further development of GrowthAfrica and our services, not least the continuous strengthening of support to entrepreneurs and early stage businesses.

Outside work, Brian continues to grow and share his passion for youth leadership, and mentorship as a rugby coach at a local university, in addition to practising organic farming, advising his community TVET and lives life because life is for living.
